Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with spreadsheet software, Slides/presentation software, BI tools and dashboards.
  • Ability to leverage industry networks and relationships to gather and triangulate market intelligence.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical business audience.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As the Market Intelligence Specialist, you will research and determine industry capacity and cost/margins for components that are used for AI, network, compute and storage machines. This information will be critical to you for partnering with the Global Commodity Management teams as they negotiate supply agreements and long term agreements. You will operate at the intersection of Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance and provide deep insights and business acumen. Your role will be critical to the success and growth of AI Infrastructure and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep research into industry capacity and capital expenditure trends for critical AI, networking, and storage components like cooling, optics, and power systems.
  • Leverage industry networking and data aggregation to develop high-accuracy "should-cost" and margin models.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of AI/compute SOCs, emerging technologies, and shifting industry transitions.
  • Survey the supplier ecosystem to identify and vet potential strategic partners.
  • Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Commodity teams to strategically influence and shape long-term supply agreements.
