Strategic Partner Lead, Media and Entertainment

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting, in the Consumer Electronics, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a fluid and collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of the video and entertainment industry, key platforms and trends (e.g., Free Ad Supported Television, Advertising Video On Demand, Direct-to-Consumer and Connected TV (CTV)/Over-The-Top (OTT) distribution) and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

About the job

As Strategic Partner Lead, Media and Entertainment, you will work as part of an account team to manage ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with partners in the media and entertainment industry. You will help set the strategic direction for each account, drive growth opportunities, and align internal stakeholders to execute on account priorities.

You possess relationship-building skills and are adept at resolving contractual, technical and financial issues with partners in order to best represent our users, products and programs. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand complex business lines, and explore and uncover the business needs of your key partners. You comfortably flex your technical platform and business-driving skills to optimize partner use of Google Ad Manager.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $103,000-$152,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Source leads, develop relationships, build business cases, close new business and renewals with existing partners.
  • Develop deep understanding of partner’s business, priorities, and challenges and work with Google leaders on overall partner strategy including executive engagement to build deep and trusted relationships.
  • Manage and grow business, product adoption, and relationships with emerging video partners.
  • Negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, agreement negotiations and compliance processes.
  • Understand the full scope of partner business generation and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used and how ad business generation fits into larger business strategy.
