Senior Cybersecurity Advisor, Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions across multiple security domains.
  • 3 years of experience in cyber threat management, cyber risk management, security operations, intelligence collection, analysis, and production.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in CISSP, CISM, or CISA, or related certifications.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and privacy.
  • Understanding of network protocols and operating systems.

About the job

As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats. You could work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You may also test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats, and will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross functional teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (DCISO) and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Director regarding all aspects of an advanced threat management center.
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules for CTI projects, including goals, risks and resource allocation.
  • Ensure continuity of program activities and deliverables to support a large and multi-faceted customer project, coordinating between multiple external and government agencies in the supervision and execution of essential support activities.
  • Mentor clients on the production of strategic, operational, and tactical cyber threats, related intelligence about threat actor groups, methodologies used, and motivations behind their activity.
  • Manage client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met.
