- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
- 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
- Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SQL and database platforms.
- Experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience or interest in the media industry, including movie, television and video technologies.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, multitasking, project management, and communication skills.

The media industry is changing and our team is focused on building the future for YouTube, including products like YouTube TV and Primetime Channels. In this role, you will lead our technical roadmap and tooling best practices by example for TV Partner Eng to help further scale the team’s technical capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical goal and strategy for YouTube TV Partner Engineering, including design documentation, reusable components, and a roadmap. Influence the cross functional technical roadmap and create long term alignment.
- Lead by example in building some of the most testing and complex operational tools.
- Guide the team's development process through scheduled reviews and advocate for new solutions with quality execution. Mentor team members and drive a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Oversee the team’s bug hygiene and improve the bug reporting and triage process.
