About the job

As we help every developer or enterprise make Google Cloud Platform (GCP) a part of their digital transformation, we need to ensure that we can provide visibility into cost and usage data to our end customers. This includes making sure that the costs are visible and allocated. It is always optimized and is properly managed. By visible and allocated we mean that you have granular cost coverage so you can identify cost drivers. By properly managed, we mean that you have budgets and are protected by anomaly detection. Furthermore, we invest in both FinOps for AI as well as AI for FinOps. For the latter, we are applying AI to help end customers understand insights about their cost drivers with simple natural language interfaces.

As Director, you will lead a team of developers building the FinOps product. You will define, develop, and execute on the strategy for scaling Google Cloud Business. You will work closely with your counterparts across the Google Cloud Business Platform, Finance, and Customer Success teams to balance competing needs across channels, products, and business teams. You’ll develop practices and data driven insights to ensure that Google Cloud scales. As the person responsible for Finops for GCP, you will have a measurable, real-world impact in an area of Cloud that has consistent CEO-level visibility.
