Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience managing supply chain security operations within a multi-national corporation.
- Experience in working with vendors and managing teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with transportation security technologies (e.g., GPS, RFID) and knowledge of industry standards (e.g., TAPA, C-TPAT, ISO).
- Experience in asset protection, including security audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations with external partners.
- Experience managing security operations and personnel to deliver high-quality, customer-oriented programs.
- Ability to develop and deploy security programs for high-value assets, confidential prototypes, and unreleased products.
- Ability to influence executive leadership and stakeholders in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Excellent judgment and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and diplomacy.
About the job
In this role, you will help lead Google’s Global Supply Chain Security and Resilience Function. You will work with internal and external partners and service providers to maintain and enhance the security and confidentiality of Google products and assets through transportation and logistics processes. As such, you will lead transportation and logistics security strategy and operations related to physical security, investigations, risk/threat assessments, shipment monitoring, alert response, reporting, and innovation. You will be responsible for supervising employees and contractors performing specific security related tasks, along with monitoring associated performance and expenses.
From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.Responsibilities
- Align on strategy with leadership and collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., GSL, DSPA, Legal) and external agencies (e.g., suppliers, law enforcement) to manage daily operations and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Perform data analysis, benchmarking, and risk assessments to identify threats and present briefings on geographical or event-based risks.
- Lead investigations, communications, and reporting related to cargo theft incidents, and manage vendor staff in responding to emergencies and special operations.
- Drive continuous improvement by tracking program metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing action plans to enhance our service offerings.
- Lead innovation by identifying and implementing new, security hardware, software, and processes while managing relationships with key program vendors.
