Product Solutions Engineer, Authentication and Security

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in system design or reading and writing code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
  • 3 years of experience in technical solutions, solution engineering, technical consulting, or a technical support role.
  • Experience troubleshooting, implementing, or developing Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols, specifically OAuth2, SAML, or SSO.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • 5 years of experience with data analysis and SQL/MySQL.
  • Experience analyzing system logs, network traffic, and API payloads to debug complex authentication flows, token exchanges, or access discrepancies.
  • Ability to work flexible non standard working hours in line with customer requirements.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders, and excellent relationship building, collaboration, negotiation and influence skills.

This role offers the unique opportunity to learn about the global digital marketing trends as well as Google’s cutting edge AI enabled ads products and assist customers in maximizing the impact of their Google Ads investment.

We're looking for someone who understands the technical complexities of online advertising, particularly Google Ads. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of solving challenging issues, acting as a technical consultant and trusted advisor for Google Ads customers. You’ll identify root causes, develop troubleshooting tools & solutions, and communicate effectively with audiences, from engineers to executives.

You'll also improve our products and processes by identifying trends and advocating for customer needs. This role offers a unique blend of technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and strategic thinking, giving you the opportunity to truly own the customer experience and drive positive change in the evolving Ads ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service throughout the customer journey, troubleshooting and resolving issues with Google's advertisers and sales teams, agencies & partners.
  • Lead the technical investigation, triage, and resolution of complex escalations related to identity management, authentication pipeline failures, and unauthorized access vectors within the Ads ecosystems.
  • Act as the technical engineer on passwordless authentication rollouts, directly supporting the mandate, troubleshooting, and implementation of Passkey technology (WebAuthn/FIDO2) for enterprise customers.
  • Partner directly with Product Engineering and Trust & Safety teams to identify systemic vulnerabilities in the authentication stack, executing precise bug routing and advocating for infrastructure-level fixes.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering and business solutions teams.
