Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.
  • Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery.
  • Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance with polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering solutions that meet public sector security and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, or Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
  • Experience with data center operations and infrastructure migration with VMware or similar systems.
  • Experience in managing external partners/customers.
  • Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide excellent technical guidance and best practices to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will ensure optimal customer experience in migrating, building and modernizing applications on GCP while collaborating with product management and engineering to drive product excellence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide domain expertise on public cloud and enterprise technology.
  • Work with customers to design Cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable mission objectives.
  • Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for customers.
  • Create and deliver best practices, recommendations, tutorials, blog articles and sample code.
  • Manage stakeholders within customer environments to deliver consensus and lead positive customer outcomes on GCP.
