As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Pixel is launching innovative health experiences on Pixel devices with the goal of enhancing the well-being of its expanding user base. This initiative presents an opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting a high-profile project with a multi-year roadmap.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing and execution of health product features on Pixel devices. You will work with cross-functional Hardware, Software, Product management, Engineering, Medical Regulatory, Quality Engineering, Legal across all levels of the organization.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage software engineering projects, and work with multiple teams on cross-functional initiatives. Interface with Engineering managers and engineers across both hardware and software to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources.
  • Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to executive leadership and project stakeholders. Engage and energize the project teams to achieve goals.
  • Understand technical implementation at the architecture level and propose technical alternatives when necessary. Ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be highly effective and develop broad domain and technical knowledge.
  • Manage documentation and traceability requirements for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) development. Ensure that all aspects of the software development life cycle are properly documented.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs and quality assurance teams to support regulatory submissions and audits.
