Product Manager I, Pixel Haptics

  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, business finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working with consumer electronics and device hardware or software.
  • Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and develop design solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Ability to grow in a collaborative, dynamic, and changing work environment with attention to detail and accuracy.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Pixel Sensor Intelligence team is the key innovation and differentiation arm for Pixel, driving future forward, hardware centric, experience innovations to make Pixel the most helpful, intuitive, and delightful ecosystem of products to use. This team bridges real world information and inputs to give Pixel its contextual awareness and predictive intelligence to deliver differentiated, helpful experiences.

In this role, you will drive the goal, definition, and delivery of software, powered by hardware-centric advancements in the immersive feedback (haptics) area, and be instrumental in making Pixel the most helpful, intuitive, and delightful ecosystem. Your will collaboration with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, UX designers, and research scientists will bring groundbreaking hardware-motivated experiences to life.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.\

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement goals for Haptics within Pixel, pinpointing opportunities for unique software and hardware integration.
  • Lead collaborative roadmap planning, ensuring tight alignment between software and hardware for innovative features in Haptics.
  • Develop strategic evaluation frameworks for new software and hardware partnerships, focusing on feasibility and user impact.
  • Communicate product goal, strategy, and progress to leadership and key stakeholders. Advocate for essential hardware specifications to power exceptional software experiences in Haptics.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across other product teams at Google, and partner closely with engineering, UX, research, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
