Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in Information Security.
- Experience in Cloud Security and Artificial Intelligence.
- History of a US Government Top Secret Clearance, eligible for readjudication.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), deep learning or natural language processing.
- Experience in one or more of the following information security domains: Cloud Security, Incident Response, Enterprise Architecture, Security Operations.
- Experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including prominent nation state threat actors and cyber attacks.
- Ability to communicate remediation recommendations and strategies to technical staff, executive leadership, legal counsel and external clients.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner.
About the job
As a Cloud and AI Security Consultant for Google Public Sector, you will be responsible for helping government clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and respond to cyber security threats in the cloud, on-premise, and involving technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud service mesh, hyperscalers, and serverless workloads. Security Consultants manage operating system functionality and networking, cloud platform architecture, corporate enterprise architecture, and cyber security threats.
In this role, you will assist clients navigation, remediation, and recovery from technically complex and high-profile incidents, perform proactive security assessments, and be the technical advocate for information security requirements and best practices. You will articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$193,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Conduct enterprise architecture and cloud platform assessments, in collaboration with internal and customer teams, in support of incident response investigations and security assessment engagements.
- Develop and present comprehensive and accurate reports, training, and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
- Build scripts, tools, or methodologies to enhance Mandiant's Artificial Intelligence or Cloud assessment processes that can be applied to current and future engagements.
- Conduct security program assessments and build roadmaps to improve client security posture.
- Assess security operations and incident response team capabilities to provide recommendations for improvement.
