Strategic Partner Development Lead, ChromeOS, Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, and management consulting, or 5 years of experience with advanced degree.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing executives.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional partnership initiatives with a significant impact on business outcomes.
  • Understanding of the emerging trends and engaged dynamics.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities that align with business objectives with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and building consensus.

About the job

Our mission is to build a growing, healthy ecosystem of Chrome Partners who execute profitable business models. As part of this mission, the Chrome Enterprise Technology Partnerships team is responsible for ensuring that the critical applications and peripheral devices that enterprise users want to use work seamlessly on ChromeOS and Chrome browser.

As a Strategic Partner Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to grow and lead a solution category, build relationships with our partners’ executive teams, and represent our Chrome Enterprise partner ecosystem when engaging with internal Google teams. You will evaluate potential new partners, lead exploratory discussions and develop business opportunities. You will drive cross-functional relationships to enable solutions on ChromeOS and Chrome Browser, provide thought leadership to partners and executives around business opportunities.

In this role, you will have strong business acumen and understanding of technology which will enable you to set strategic priorities for the team. You will have excellent people management skills that will allow you to communicate those priorities to your many stakeholders. This is a global position which will give you the platform to work with Google employees and external partners all over the world. The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build solid relationships with customer experience partners, engage with partners’ executive leadership teams to align on joint goal and forward looking plans for ChromeOS and Chrome Browser.
  • Research emerging customer experience trends and develop and supporting strategic partnerships and drive business and marketing plans for customer experience partnerships.
  • Develop compelling partner facing assets and collateral articulating the customer experience and ChromeOS and Chrome Browser value proposition with partners and prospects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define short-medium and long strategy for the partner ecosystem and bring a “big picture” perspective to drive innovation for both Chrome and our partners’ solutions.
  • Drive the ChromeOS and Chrome Browser narrative, ensuring it speaks to our innovative technology and customer needs.
