Risk and Compliance Program Manager, gTech Extended Workforce Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years experience working on a regional or global risk and compliance function.
  • 5 years experience as a risk and compliance advisor or consultant to a company.
  • 5 years experience as an auditor.
  • Experience working on regulatory matters which involve risk mitigation under strict deadlines.

gTech's Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team empowers Product Areas (PAs) to optimize outsourced operations while reducing risks and driving efficiency through the enforcement of Google best practices and policies. We advocate for informed decision-making, ensuring our partners find the right talent in the right locations. Our collaboration across Google leads to streamlined processes, minimizing administrative burdens and optimizing the extended workforce (xW) experience. We ensure Google's policies and guidelines are consistently adhered to.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to implement programs to mitigate risks and drive efficiency and consistency in engaging and working with extended workers. You will build relationships with leaders from every Product Area and every function, always learning about the interesting and work that our colleagues do across Alphabet, while providing guidance for them.

Responsibilities

  • Support our centralized program for our Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
  • Align with local Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS), risk and compliance, audit and other teams as necessary to understand local risks for escalation, reporting and remediation.
  • Integrate local/regional risk trends and topics, benchmark participants programs for best practices, and escalate through appropriate channels to keep Alphabet ahead of risks and threats in the region.
  • Focus on the Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, including interaction with local regulators with travel when required.
