Group Insights Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a research or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience designing, scoping, and executing research and analysis projects.
  • 10 years of experience translating business problems into research questions and translating research findings and insights into marketing recommendations, including writing survey instruments and discussion guides.
  • Experience managing research and measurement agencies.
  • Experience using AI tools/features.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in media streaming or tech industry.
  • Experience presenting data-driven narratives and recommendations to executive stakeholders to guide decision-making and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Proven track record of independently building and executing complex quantitative models, specifically Discrete Choice Modeling (DCM), Conjoints, and MaxDiff, with a foundational understanding of regression modeling.
  • Expertise in leveraging AI/GenAI tools to drive significant workflow and deliverable efficiencies for the team and the broader organization.
  • Demonstrated success coaching and elevating a research team on methodology selection, survey design, data analysis, and storytelling.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $219,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Define research and measurement methodologies and the roadmap to develop and build new AI research capabilities for the organization.
  • Create the vision and story for strategic recommendations by weaving together unique datasets and insights for each product area across YouTube Marketing.
  • Manage teams to deliver insights across datasets and provide recommendations to steer strategic marketing decisions across YouTube’s supported products.
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to privacy practices, data security and compliant approaches to market research.
  • Be a trusted advisor and thought leader to key stakeholders outside of YouTube and with marketing executives.
