Senior Security Consultant, Google Public Sector, Mandiant

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Incident Response and security assessments.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and escalating security events/incidents and disseminating cyber threat information.
  • Experience with consulting, business development, or pre-sales/commercial in a Cyber Security or Incident Response business.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Cyber Security Industry certifications.
  • Experience with security solutions and technologies, security infrastructure design, and network security.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use formal project management skills in planning, tracking, and reporting on project progress.
  • Ability to document and explain technical details in a concise, understandable manner.
  • Active US Government Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

About the job

As a Google Public Sector Security Consultant, you will lead all stages for the delivery of cyber security services. These may encompass security governance, risk management, security operations, tactical, strategic, and cyber incident response disciplines. You will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domains. By utilizing the latest industry standards and knowledge of attacker behaviors, you will assist organizations with improving their cyber defenses and security posture. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors in order to successfully lead complex engagements working with cross functional teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$193,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive the delivery of high-quality cyber security services, including long-term staffing contracts,  as well as short-term services, which focus on unique requirements for each engagement.
  • Leverage technical experience to manage projects and perform oversight of professional services delivery.
  • Lead engagements that build and mature customer information security programs and incident response practices.
  • Interface with federal customers, recommending and scoping Mandiant’s portfolio of cyber security services, pricing, and statement of work development.
  • Assist with the development of new business opportunities, adding to the Mandiant portfolio.
