Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
- 3 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g. Python, R, Java, C++).
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in an investigative role.
- Experience with abuse prevention, policy and regulatory systems.
- Experience in extracting, sampling and visualization of data sets, writing and maintaining ETLs which operate on a variety of structured and unstructured sources, delivering production level metrics, insights and actions
- Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments through solid data intuition and business acumen.
- Experience in project management and process optimization with data analytics.
- Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.

As a Business Analyst, you will utilize data and problem-solving techniques to define success metrics for YouTube trust and safety operations, measure business performance and communicate convincing narrative to top executives and outside world. - Build, develop and measure YouTube-wide abuse performance metrics and operational metrics (productivity, efficiency, timeliness etc.) and generate insights to improve business ability to decrease prevalence of violative content on platform.
- Apply technical concepts and systems to deliver and clearly communicate meaningful results and methods.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Strategy teams to prioritize and execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that deliver actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, define requirements, and collaborate cross-functionally and globally to improve processes and tools.
- Analyze and debug escalations and identify trends that can indicate bigger product risks.
