- 5 years of experience in program management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with data center design, construction and operations.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and agreements.
- Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems.
- Understanding of startup/commissioning processes and standard practices in the design and construction industry.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will provide leadership and management to ensure the delivery of the growing global fleet of Data Centers within the APAC Region.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to manage multiple projects through the various stages of evaluation, design, agreements, construction, and handover to operations. The portfolio will include projects at greenfield sites and within operational facilities for both our smaller scale data center infrastructure deployments as well as hyper-scale data centers.
You will be involved in every aspect of implementation and will partner with negotiators, project managers and engineers, as well as our construction and operations teams, to develop solutions for the delivery of data centers that meet our operational requirements
Responsibilities
- Manage a global data center design and construction team and scope related to construction or capital improvement projects at the facilities.
- Develop detailed designs, manage construction, commissioning, close-out and hand-off to operations. Ensure all customer requirements are met.
- Establish and maintain delivery models and relationships with vendors and contractors, using appropriate metrics and measuring results.
- Create a growth plan and be involved in hiring/recruiting of talent in the areas of project management, field engineering, document control, technical writing, etc.
- Communicate with internal business partners to collect plans, drivers and deadlines for initiating build projects and mobilizing contractors. Create high-level project plans that identify resource needs and critical path.
