Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in sales operations, management consulting, or corporate strategy.
- Experience developing investigative models using spreadsheet software and using presentation software to facilitate communication with stakeholders.
- Should be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree.
- Experience in sales operations or strategy planning for public sector sales teams.
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and planning sales strategy using sales planning tools. Salesforce.com preferred with the ability to query data using SQL.
- Experience problem-solving and project management, including executing complex strategic and operational initiatives.
- Knowledge of enterprise cloud technologies, products, and market landscape.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
About the job
As a Sales Strategy and Operations Manager for Google Cloud’s Global Public Sector Federal business, you will work with business executives and leaders on critical business projects. You will own strategic initiatives that include assessing market opportunities, developing Go-to-Market strategies and driving the associated business planning processes for our US Public Sector Team. You will work directly with business executives and key leaders to manage the annual and quarterly planning processes as well as other strategic initiatives. You will include the development of the business plan, operating model, resource allocation, market segmentation, vertical prioritization, and compensation design. You will work with sales leadership on pipeline management and demand generation. You will assist field sales representatives with navigating Google Cloud best practices for forecasting and progressing agreements through the pipeline.Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. - Work with the cross-functional leadership team (Directors across Sales, Product, Finance, Central Operations, and Marketing) to drive alignment on business goals, forecasting, and goal setting for your assigned sales teams.
- Manage the annual and quarterly planning processes, including the development of business plans, operating models, resource allocation, territory set-up, and quota design for your aligned sales teams. Own data quality and enrichment of planning data used to set US territories and goals.
- Execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing final recommendations.
- Manage the forecasting cadence, CRM data quality, and business reporting for your assigned business objectives.
