Senior Product Manager, Better Together Foundations

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver feature focused products for Users and Developers (e.g., APIs, SDKs, Management Portals).
  • 7 years of experience with product management shipping consumer features involving connectivity, hardware, and software.
  • Experience growing and scaling developer and consumer products within a collaborative cross-team setting.
  • Experience with user intuition for inventing innovative and user-friendly products.
  • Knowledge of current best practices for API and SDK products focused on mobile developers.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The team is building the infrastructure to power cross-device experiences and is at the core of Android multi-device technologies (e.g., Quick Share, Cast, Fast Pair, Autofill, and core connectivity).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own and define project roadmaps.
  • Define and execute Software Development Kits (SDKs), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), user facing features for upcoming Android releases in collaboration with Engineering, UX/UXR, and other teams.
  • Work with core partners such as Cross-Device Media, and Peace of Mind and Transactions teams to define the communications strategy for the Android platform.
  • Engage externally with Original Equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Carriers, and Regulators to influence standards, implementations, and adoption.
  • Define and execute on the Better Together Foundations idea for Android, initiatives including Shared User Context Service, Device to Device Interaction, Power Optimized Ranging.
