Strategy and Operations Lead, Partner Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Go-to-Market Strategy, Sales Operations, Strategy and Operations, Management Consulting, Finance, or Program Management.
  • Experience managing rhythm of business activities, such as annual business planning, headcount management, running business reviews, or target setting.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders in a trusted advisor role.
  • Experience in Cloud and Enterprise IT.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience in improving processes, tools and systems.
  • Ability to initiate, drive and deliver projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to analyze data into insights along with knowledge of SQL, Looker and Google Sheet.
  • Ability to take initiative and meet strict timelines with attention to detail.

The Google Cloud Go-to-Market Strategy and Operations team serves as trusted advisors, partnering with Sales, Customer Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Partners and Google Cloud Consulting to plan, strategize, and run the business in a transformational way.

As a Strategy and Operations Manager for our Partner Engineering organization, within EMEA, you will be responsible for defining, landing and executing on our key priorities to drive operational excellence, business growth, and productivity. You will be responsible for helping with planning, goal setting, territory design, expansion plans and managing the rhythm of the business activities. You will provide business insights, ensure cross-functional alignment, drive partnerships, and execute new initiatives. The organization's goal is to align company priorities with day-to-day operations and evolve early-stage ideas into future growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Managing Director of Partner Engineering and their Leadership team to develop the organization’s strategy, becoming an integral part of the leadership team.
  • Establish and support the way we work, through operational cadence, content of reviews, improvement initiatives and metrics, insights, and reporting.
  • Drive the business forward by developing and executing initiatives to accelerate growth and scale. Lead analysis, track improvements, and recommend methods and tools, working with your counterparts to execute on these recommendations.
  • Run the business for the Partner Engineering organization, own key processes, planning and headcount management, and foster collaboration and best practices sharing within the region and cross-functionally.
  • Drive and deliver the annual Customer Engineering Planning process for EMEA in partnership with Customer Engineering Managers, Central Strategy and Operations teams, Compensation teams, etc.
