Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product management, marketing, management consulting, or project management in technology. 1 year experience doing product strategy.
  • Experience working with Product Management or Engineering teams, executive leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with clients on technical products (e.g., pitching solutions, consulting, project management, implementation, demonstrating products, or technical sales).
  • Experience managing projects with stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Ability to structure a compelling storyline and build presentation decks/documents to support their position and to lead operational initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both practitioner and executive-level contexts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

About the job

The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) is a global team that serves as the strategy, operations, and product commercialization partner to Global Business Organization (GBO).

This team is responsible for setting go-to-market strategy, shaping priorities and resources to accelerate business growth, and commercializing the next generation of Ads products. This team plays an important role in building excellent go-to-market infrastructure from tooling to enhancing GBO business skills to ensuring flawless execution and operations against desired business outcomes and priorities. GTM has teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as in global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

In this role, you’ll be focused on leveraging your expertise and experience to motivate sellers and customers to harness the full power of YouTube's rich ecosystem, including the power of Creators, while making it easier to find and understand best practices to maximize customer value. You will be leading cross-functional projects across all product areas, partnering with Product Managers and Global Leads, to ensure features are consistently used and built following our best practice framework. You will be in charge of equipping business teams with the most compelling collateral and creating a feedback loop to update the Product team about sales and advertisers’ needs.

You will be a thought leader in landing the message that YouTube is a shoppable platform, with rich experiences for users, creators, and advertisers that deliver full funnel performance.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product managers to influence the product roadmap and ensure effective commercialization and activation of new and existing ad formats globally.
  • Collaborate and influence across GPS, business, product, and marketing executives to align and deliver on a core strategy and make it easier to harness the power of YouTube Creators.
  • Understand retail customer and creator needs and the competitive landscape to influence product strategy and go-to-market plans.
  • Work across product managers, regional business teams, gTech and marketing to drive alignment on priorities and lead execution of go-to-market strategy for key product launches.
  • Synthesize feedback from regional teams, business teams and advertisers and incorporate that feedback into product development efforts and ability to translate product plans and strategy into a market facing narrative.
