  • 4 years of experience in journalism, public relations, internal or executive communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in creative content development for a global brand, with experience producing content for social media channels.
  • Ability to understand and work within branding design systems.
  • Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in a changing, high-stress environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the job

As a member of the Global Communications and Public Affairs (GCPA) team, you’ll use Google’s social media channels and communications platforms to inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders and our own employees about priority Google news and narratives.

In this role, you will be the go-to expert for what works when it comes to video content on social media platforms. We’re looking for someone who can distill company and product news and tips into timely, easy-to-understand creative formats with a tech-focused tone. Your keen understanding of social media best practices and storytelling abilities will help you develop and execute a cohesive video strategy across social channels, and you will be responsible for producing creative content from concept to execution. You will grow in a changing environment and feel comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and projects with tight deadlines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Establish an overall strategy for external video on social platforms, focusing on channels, that help us communicate clearly and connect with priority audiences.
  • Develop, launch, test and iterate on existing and new recurring video franchises, working closely with the creative team to consistently script, produce and publish videos across priority social channels.
  • Closely coordinate and ensure alignment with stakeholders across different areas of the business and the company.
  • Support creative excellence and production across all of Google’s owned and operated social platforms, newsletters, blogs, sites and press initiatives.
