Business Development Manager, Google Play, Core (Mandarin, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to collaborate with local clients and regional partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of apps development, distribution platforms, business models, and value chains.
  • Knowledge of the broader Apps and Games industry in Greater China and APAC.
  • Passion for mobile apps.
  • Excellent people management and networking skills, with the ability to establish and influence relationships with partners at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking abilities.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. As an Apps Business Development Manager, you will cultivate and grow relationships with app developers in Greater China, empowering them to build growing businesses on the Android platform and Google Play.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the partnership strategy for torso app and game developers in Greater China. Identify and prioritize opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Provide data-driven insights and strategic guidance to partners, helping them optimize their apps business on Google Play.
  • Be a passionate advocate for Google Play and Android, driving adoption of strategic products and features among partners.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the apps and games industry.
