Strategic Partner Manager, B2B Carriers UK and IRL, PDCO

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in sales management, business development of partners in the telecommunication carrier or retail space with business generation, with a true commercial Profit and Loss (P&L) scope.
  • Experience planning, managing and launching new products in the market at an operational level.
  • Experience in B2B Sales (e.g., building and managing a pipeline of leads or pricing strategies for agreement registrations) and managing stakeholder maps and hardware and services equations.
  • Experience in mobile hardware sales.
  • Experience analyzing data and business reporting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in matrixed environments, managing ambiguity, solving problems, and scaling effectively across large organizations.
  • Experience working with UK carriers or resellers at a nationwide level with enterprise customers in technology.
  • Experience working through reseller or distribution networks in the IT or telecommunications industries.
  • Experience in B2B lead generation in the telco or IT space.
  • Experience creating end-to-end value propositions across the technology value chain.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with partners and executives up to the C-suite.

The Sales Organization within Platform and Devices bring these products to market through Google and Partner channels. The UK is a critical market for the success of those products.

In this role, the Business-to-Business (B2B) Carrier Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) primarily focuses on Google-branded hardware sales across product categories. You will be responsible for managing commercial relationships with our top carriers B2B Partners, including the overall business ownership, developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms and overall market share goals. You will partner cross-functionally internally with Brand, Product and Retail Marketing, Product Management and Engineering, Cloud and Android and with our carrier counterparts across these disciplines - to deliver a true end-to end B2B solution to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the hardware business commercial investment and revenue for carrier B2B, primarily focusing on Pixel sales. Manage the full sales cycle and build relationships with carrier partners from buying teams to the C-suite to maximize mutual success.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the enterprise hardware and services market and carrier dynamics, including technical and engineering implications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (GTM, Product, Legal, Cloud, etc.) to refine go-to-market strategies and ensure adequate contracting is in place with carriers.
  • Drive and report key metrics including forecasts, sales, return on investment, and profitability. Support quarterly business reviews, account planning, and yearly planning.
  • Support lead Strategic Partner Managers in carrier account management to ensure alignment between consumer and Business-to-Business (B2B) business units.
