Leadership Support Services Officer

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or government agency (e.g., Secret Service, FBI, etc.).
  • Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) qualified.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience as member of an Executive Protection/Dignitary Protection (EP/DP) team.
  • Experience analyzing intelligence and threat reports to determine the risk level to a location, event, or person so that resources can be scoped appropriately.
  • Experience creating, planning, and reviewing EP/DP or event security operations documents.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to create and navigate primary and secondary routes of travel, with and without the use of technology.
  • Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and customer service skills.

About the job

As a Leadership Support Services Officer, you will be a key member of Google's Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team, responsible for the safety and security of Google executives. You will utilize knowledge in executive protection, threat assessment, and security operations to ensure the well-being of assigned clients.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $103,000-$152,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop executive security strategies to keep users safe and plan/coordinate safety and security resources for Google Executive Protection missions.
  • Collect feedback, ensure documentation is up-to-date, and facilitate discussions to follow up with stakeholders, and propose or implement changes for continuous improvement. 
  • Predict, prevent, or avoid tense or dangerous situations, and react as situations emerge.
  • Screen client itineraries and conducting research and intelligence gathering to identify risk factors or form an operational plan for client protection. 
  • Maintain and execute protocols and best practices to assess and mitigate threats, manage crises and deliver threat assessment services by collecting, evaluating, and disseminating accurate and timely intelligence to appropriate stakeholders.
