Senior Technical Program Manager Lead, Data Center Design

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in Data Center, Utility/Infrastructure projects, or construction projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Experience working across a distributed and integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
  • Experienced evaluating and managing risk of product and programs, implementing mitigation plans accounting for a global NPI approach, collaborating and influencing user teams to help reach organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen driving cost benefit analysis and ROI calculations across competitive products.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for data center product development in EMEA and APAC, you will lead exploration, development, pilot, validation, deployment, and growth of new products that enable data centers in these regions. You will deliver on design and reliability goals, leading the products through their product life-cycle process on schedule and at budget, across all existing and new sites. You will deliver on a continued roadmap for products across server halls, thermal and other mechanical systems, power distribution, stand-by power solutions, controls systems and other future innovations in product areas. You will be the point of contact and external interface to all partners streamlining communication across TI.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end (i.e., concept, development, validation and launch) technical program management ownership of all designs and products for delivering data centers in EMEA and APAC, acting as a single point of contact for driving scope, schedule, cost and resource management.
  • Work cross-functionally with upstream and downstream partner teams to help execute product insertions across the globe.
  • Work with leadership to help set up, define and drive the regional product strategy and roadmap, establish and monitor key process indicators for the regional portfolio and provide overall quarterly prioritization of the regional portfolio.
  • Manage, lead, grow a team of Technical Program Managers, Project Engineers and Technicians.
  • Be the go-to person across regional partners regarding all product communications, advocating early-risk identification and proactive mitigation strategies that help ATI meet ROI, cost and velocity goals in the regions.
