Group Product Manager, Google Images, Search and Feed

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in search quality, ranking, personalization, or recommendation systems, including experience delivering personalized queryless feed experiences.
  • Experience launching and scaling products built on large-scale machine learning, LLMs, or computer vision systems.
  • Experience building new products and taking ideas from "0 to 1" in highly ambiguous environments.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex strategies and technical details for both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
  • Passion for reimagining consumer experiences for the new era of AI and multimodal interaction.

Google Search is undergoing a generational transformation. In this role, you will be at the center of that evolution, architecting the personal intelligence layer that will deliver these personal and helpful AI experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $240,000-$334,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the multi-year roadmap to transform Google Images from a discrete "start/stop" utility into a continuous, assistive discovery journey.
  • Lead the strategy for moving users from visual discovery to real-world outcomes. 
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers focused on experience and quality initiatives.
  • Lead the transformation of user modeling to deliver deeply tailored visual experiences. Guide your team in developing advanced models that capture individual interests, tastes, and preferences, enabling a seamless queryless discovery "feed" experience.
  • Harness breakthroughs in generative AI and LLMs to unlock novel user experiences.
