Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in robotics automation.
  • Experience working with industrial engineering.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • 8 years of experience in technology robotics, advanced manufacturing, or global supply chain operations.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies or advanced tooling for operational efficiency.
  • Track record of managing complex, multi-disciplinary programs and hardware solutions within secure, mission-critical environments.
  • Ability to drive consensus in ambiguous environments.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The mission of the SMART (Simulation, Modeling, Automation, Robotics and Technology) team is to scale and accelerate data center innovation through the development of modeling capabilities, data center design, automation, and robotics to increase productivity, safety and efficiency. As Google Cloud continues to scale, this team’s work will contribute to the ongoing product, process and capability growth to ensure Google can continue to meet market goals.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage programs from concepts through global data center deployment. Drive consistency, efficiency, and economies of scale to deliver direct business impact on team and organizational OKRs.
  • Translate technical ambiguity into structured, data-driven execution plans and roadmaps. Provide clear project visibility, risk mitigation, and confidence across cross-functional supply chain and engineering teams.
  • Bridge the gap between hardware engineering, software development, and supply chain operations. Drive alignment and identify risks to ensure integration and adoption of new technologies across multiple teams.
  • Partner with engineering lead to execute system architectures and scale automated solutions. Utilize AI/ML technologies and tools to solve problems and facilitate continuous improvement within your programs.
  • Serve within a technical program manager organization. Mentor peers, share programmatic best practices, and engage in community contributions to improve and sustain operations and culture.
