Application Engineer II, SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with Python.
  • Experience using Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experince in designing and developing robust extract, transform, load (ETL) solutions and complex data pipelines using SAP Data Services, Smart Data Integration (SDI), and Smart Data Access (SDA).
  • Experience with data volume replication and real time analytics using SAP Operational Data Provisioning (ODP), SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT), and SAP Business Warehouse (BW).

About the job

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.

Google's pipelines scale to process billions of records per hour and serve Google finance's most time sensitive and critical processes. The data warehouse will serve as a foundation for next generation analytics platform to deliver reconciled financial reporting and leverage the latest in data science/Machine Learning (ML) to forecast and optimize Google's financial operations.

In this role, you will be scaling out Google's financial data built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Core technology.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Apply SAP and Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) skills.
  • Participate in the lifecycle of SAP business intelligence projects (requirements analysis/design, systems configuration, build development, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution).
  • Plan, prioritize, implement and deliver investigative reporting systems using SAP, ABAP, SAP Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing technology stack and tools, such as SAP Business Warehouse (BW), High Performance Analytical Appliance (HANA DB), Operational Data Provisioning (ODP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), Analysis for Office (AO), Landscape Transformation Replication (SLT), Data Services (DS), HANA Smart Data Integration (SDI) and HANA Smart Data Access (SDA).
  • Work with third-party vendor products teams (SAP and partners) to resolve issues.
  • Apply SAP technical, domain, and Business Intelligence (BI) expertise across SAP, first-party, and other third-party systems.
