Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.
  • 3 years of experience with Incrementality Measurement, A/B Testing, and Causal Impact.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or Operations Research.
  • 6 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.
  • Experience in driving a project from an experimental idea to a proof-of-concept to a launched product feature.
  • Experience with computing systems and programming environments.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, with program, GTM, engineering, or product teams.

About the job

The Measurement, Impact and Insights team within Mastery Strategy and Operations, uses data and insights to help build a competency-based personalized end-to-end user journey for Mastery’s audience. In this role, you will join a team that is responsible for setting up the data infrastructure, developing business intelligence solutions, conducting at-scale data experimentation, evaluating effectiveness of programs through incrementality and causal studies and partnering with the Mastery business to derive insights that shape our content, technology and activation portfolios that showcases business impact. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic planning for the Mastery organization.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$223,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner to establish and track key performance indicators (KPI) for new learning programs and business activities, providing insights to optimize learner performance and drive growth.
  • Design and lead causal studies to measure the impact of Mastery programs.
  • Redesign and own the reporting infrastructure for Mastery activation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand their needs, conduct comprehensive analyses, and deliver actionable insights that inform decision-making.
  • Identify and address challenges proactively, developing creative solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
