Principal Architect, Advanced Robotics and Mobility

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., solutions architect, sales engineer).
  • Experience in cloud computing and its application in fields such as computer vision, reinforcement learning, and sensor fusion.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of robotics concepts and frameworks (e.g., ROS, Gazebo, simulation tools e.g., Mujoco, IsaacSim).
  • Understanding of computational techniques relevant to advanced robotics and mobility, such as computer vision, sensor fusion, reinforcement learning, motion planning, and control.
  • Ability to build programs from the ground up, coupled with comfort navigating ambiguity, and a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit to drive new initiatives forward.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

About the job

In this role, you will be a foundational member and key contributor to the advanced robotics and mobility effort. You will be at the forefront of engaging with pioneering organizations along with Sales teams, and help them unlock the transformative potential of robots capable of advanced perception and decision-making using Google Cloud. You will be responsible for understanding the unique technical and operational issues our customers face and then architecting and showcasing Google Cloud solutions that directly address their needs. You will be involved in model deployment pipelines for learning-based systems, robot control systems, sensor data management, simulation environments, and cloud integration strategies.You will be instrumental in positioning Google Cloud as the leading platform for the next generation of adaptive and intelligent robotic solutions. You will play a key role in understanding the needs of our customers and will help shape the future of businesses of all sizes using technology to connect with customers, employees and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Google Cloud Sales teams as the primary technical and product expert for customers exploring and building in advanced robotics and mobility.
  • Develop Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies by mapping the market, identify key trends, and define customer goals. Lead activities like events, webinars, and tech blogs to build industry mindshare.
  • Create compelling technical assets, narratives, and reference architectures focused on applying learning-based models to robotics use cases.
  • Identify business opportunities by understanding customer infrastructure and objectives, developing strategies to resolve technical blockers and adoption issues.
  • Articulate Google Cloud’s value for data-driven, adaptive robotic deployments while building a network of key regional experts.
