Program Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Cloud Supply Chain Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience with manufacturing, supply chain management, or fulfillment planning and execution in a new product introduction (NPI) role.
  • Experience in demand/supply planning, sourcing and procurement management and leading initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across process and systems leveraging Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Process Management, Operations, Industrial/Process Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external cross-functional teams, clear commitment to driving overall success for the organization.
  • Ability to deliver results against key operational metrics and Key Performance Indicator (KPI), with to diagnose issues and drive corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional leadership with the ability to work across multiple levels of the organization.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Procurement Operations Manager in the Centralized Procurement Operations (CPO) within Cloud Supply Chain Organization (CSCO), you will be responsible for Request for Quotation (RFQ) management, procurement operations, materials fulfillment, driving business process and systems improvements and analytics projects. Your expertise in the areas of materials management, systems and procurement processes will be critical for the on-time delivery, cost productivity and project execution that are required to fulfill massive compute hardware and technology at our global data centers. Collaborate with NPI, supply planning, engineering, commodity management, contract manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers to drive business needs through process and system changes that enable materials procurement for Google's growing infrastructure. Individual's partnership with the Supply Planning, Commodity Management, Contract Manufacturing and NPI teams in the US will be critical in identifying the right operations model needed to support various procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic sourcing processes for timely, cost effective procurement while working closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Drive the team for scalable solutions and follow-the-sun support model around placements, shortage resolution, supply demand match reviews, transactional error resolution, receiving issues demonstrating thought leadership and Subject Matter Expert (SME) skills.
  • Lead multiple projects or operations simultaneously or a large, cross-functional project or operations. Lead continuous improvement in purchasing, material delivery and shortage management with the focus on data analytics that enable faster decision making for deployments.
  • Lead cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful operational, tactical, strategic initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure timely supplier onboardings, system setups, identify new automation capabilities across breadth of systems.
