Partner Engineer, YouTube Device Operations and Partner Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with C/C++, Java, TypeScript, or Python programming languages, and Android/Linux systems.
  • Experience with scripting in Shell or Python.
  • Experience troubleshooting using web technologies and experience with video streaming technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in software program/project management and in the business technology market and working with engineering, sales and marketing teams in networking.
  • Experience working with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, SoC providers, and Pay TV Operators.
  • Experience with Reference Design Kit, Android TV or similar TV platform architecture.
  • Experience driving cross functional initiatives in a structured as well as ambiguous environment while keeping attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak to both business and technical stakeholders. Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational and multitasking skills.

About the job

As a Partner Engineer on the Devices Platform Opearations team, you will lead deployments, optimize implementations, and manage integrations to build long-term device partnerships. You will own technical engagements and will be the key driver in finding creative/innovative solutions that lead them to the next level.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects and teams that require close collaboration with other teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development, Operations and Marketing. You will play a key role in improving existing operations, defining and commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment.

You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the resolution of technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize the business flow from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies.
  • Work with our Gaming Console (Xbox, Sony Playstation, Nintendo, etc) partners and our vendors in the region to build, maintain, and improve YouTube integrations on new and legacy devices.
