Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in program or project management.
- 7 years of experience in people management.
- Experience working in risk, regulatory audit or controls assurance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing a broad range of stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience managing teams and programs, ideally in a large, complex or regulated environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
About the job
In this role, you will manage Trust and Safety's growing external and internal audit and remediation obligations to ensure audits are a predictable norm for Trust and Safety. As part of this, you and your team will work to launch and manage AI-enabled workflows, generating both operational metrics and insights to ensure the Trust and Safety organisation is maturing to reduce audit risk. You will also work with a wide range of Google colleagues. Therefore, brilliant stakeholder management skills, operational excellence, a strategic and innovative mindset and experience of both internal and external audit will be key to your success in this role.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.
Responsibilities
- Support and coach team members to reach career goals, deliver critical, scaled regulatory and risk-based audit work globally across Trust and Safety, strengthen program management skills, strive for operational excellence and enable AI skill-up and step change.
- Design and report operational metrics, insights, team wins, issues and escalations requiring support, aiming for no surprises approach. Design, deploy and operate scaled, AI enabled processes across external audit, internal audit and remediation programs.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to enable clarity on roles and responsibilities, transparency on the audit pipeline and successful delivery on audit obligations.
- Manage cross-Trust and Safety remediation work to ensure our controls continue to mature, be fit for purpose and result in predictable audit outcomes. Share risk insights with our controls team and cross-Trust and Safety stakeholders to guide maturation investments.
