Business Program Manager, Data Center Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in accounting and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in statement of work negotiation.
  • Experience with project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and process documentation.
  • Experience in vendor relationships and agreement management.
  • Experience in providing support for budgeting, forecasting and purchase orders.
  • Knowledge of local authority requirements to help ensure the running of the data center.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $73,500-$103,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute work assignments with varying degrees of supervision.
  • Act as the point of contact for projects as assigned by the facility manager.
  • Prepare statement of work (SoW) for facility operations agreements.
  • Obtain facilities-related vendor proposals, prepare purchase orders, and review/approve invoices.
  • Work with support service vendors to resolve conflicts and issues under the direction of the facility manager.
