Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Flutter), Labs, Generative Media

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, including Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, or Dart.
  • 3 years of experience with mobile application development on either Android or iOS, including testing, maintenance, and launching products.
  • 1 year of experience with large-scale mobile application design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in designing and implementing mobile applications using Flutter in both early-stage and mature project environments.
  • Experience in a technical leadership role with excellence in communication, collaboration, and team-building.
  • Familiarity with backend systems and full end-to-end technical needs of a mobile application.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test code for a new mobile application using Flutter, creating innovative, mobile-first experiences with generative AI for media creation.
  • Lead and participate in technical design reviews with cross-functional partners to solve novel challenges in areas like generative AI, rich media, and complex mobile user flows.
  • Review code and provide feedback to ensure the development of high-quality, scalable systems, balancing the need for iteration with long-term platform health.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and collaborate with other Engineering teams to share knowledge and best practices for mobile application development.
  • Triage, debug, and resolve technical issues across the full stack to ensure a high-quality, seamless end-to-end user experience in a first-party mobile application.
