Senior Business and Marketing Data Scientist II

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of social and influencer marketing/digital experience using analytics and to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in social media influencer marketing.
  • Experience in prior roles with high attention to detail and increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
  • Experience working with product teams, data scientists, and cross-functional marketers.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a high number of stakeholders.

About the job

In this role, you will lead, build, implement and optimize Google’s proprietary Influencer marketing model and methodology. You will use your expertise in social marketing metrics, your up-to-date knowledge of social marketing trends and technologies, including the ever-growing set of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, to continuously evolve the Influencer marketing methods to drive marketing efficiencies, business impact and Return on Investment (ROI). You will design and roll out the model in close partnership with data scientists, data analysts, cross-functional teams across various product areas, regions and locals. You will scale your strategy for optimization internationally, creating a blueprint for regions/products to follow. You stay up-to-date on the latest marketing trends and technologies, including new social platforms, trends, and integration of AI, to inspire industry-leading influencer marketing innovation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$266,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Influencer marketing models and methodologies.
  • Design and identify the model optimization framework. Drive optimization using social and influencer performance data.
  • Design and identify opportunities to automate the model by adapting Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), in partnership with data scientists and engineers.
  • Drive the adoption of the latest social and influencer technology platforms (including SaaS) to support the continued evolution of the data-driven influencer marketing model.
  • Work with Product Areas (PA) and regions to understand their needs and how we can optimize the global roll out and implementation of influencer marketing models.
