Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working on digital fiber optic communication systems, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience in simulating optical transmission impairments.
- Experience in Digital Communications and Signal Processing.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics with an emphasis in optical transmission.
- Experience in digital optical transmission link set up and characterization.
- Experience in Python programming.
- Knowledge of the Ethernet protocol and datacenter network architecture.

Responsibilities
- Work with Optical link, system and architecture designs.
- Participate in numerical analysis and simulation of link performance.
- Perform optical module architecture tradeoff analysis.
- Work with technical leads to set up system testbed and characterize optical module and system performance.
- Design digital diagnosis and fault localization for optical systems.
