Cloud AI Consultant, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience writing software in Python, Scala, R, or similar.
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as required.
  • Experience building Machine Learning or Data Science solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with core Data Science techniques.
  • Experience working with recommendation engines, data pipelines, or distributed machine learning and with data analytics, data visualization techniques and software, and deep learning frameworks.
  • Experience in software development, professional services, solution engineering, technical consulting and in architecting and rolling out new technology and solution initiatives.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, including virtualization, hosted services, multi-tenant cloud infrastructures, storage systems, and content delivery networks.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and listening skills.

The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team guides customers through the moments that matter most in their cloud journey to help businesses thrive. We help customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Google’s global network, web-scale data centers, and software infrastructure. As part of an innovative team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of businesses of all sizes and use technology to connect with customers, employees, and partners.

In this role, you will work directly with Google’s most strategic customers on critical projects to help them transform their businesses using AI/ML technologies. You will help our customers to develop, deploy, and manage custom AI solutions in production using Google Cloud technologies. You will also provide technical project management, consulting and technical aptitude to customer engagements while working with client executives and key technical leaders to deploy solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with key Google partners currently servicing accounts to scope engagements, manage programs, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance and best practice experience. You will have a background in developing AI solutions, applying key industry tools, techniques, and methodologies and will know how to navigate ambiguity, and to deliver customer success. You will have excellent client-facing communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective big data and machine learning solutions and solve complex technical customer issues.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to Google’s most strategic customers.
  • Identify new product features and feature gaps, provide guidance on existing product issues, and collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to influence the roadmap of Google Cloud Platform.
  • Deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
