Director, Central Eastern Europe Agency, Google Customer Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of sales or advertising agency leadership experience in the technology, internet or digital media industries.
  • 10 years of experience in sales people management and revenue quota ownership for a book of business.
  • Experience leading commercial sales teams in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to communicare in German and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in relevant markets in the Central Europe region or broad sales and commercial programs.
  • Experience working at or with Advertising Agencies including partnering with C-suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to select, attract, motivate, retain, and develop leaders and team members.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to investigate performance data, develop actionable insights, and participate in action to capture opportunities.
  • Strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and deliver a joined up business strategy that is dynamic and balances sustainable success.

About the job

As Director, of our Central & Eastern Europe Agency team you will be responsible for maximizing our business growth with some of EMEA's largest agencies and partners. You will grow our Google Ads and AdTech business with these agencies at scale by leading a team of high performing sales professionals who partner with these agencies to drive mutual growth. As the leader of this team you will set the strategy, develop the capabilities of your team, build critical C-level relationships, and execute brilliantly to bring the best of our products and solutions to market through these agencies and partners. Our partners run very significant businesses and it will be your role to understand their business models and align our priorities with theirs. You will do this while staying true to our values where we deeply respect the opportunity, our partners, and each other.

At the same time you will be a crucial leader on our Central Europe leadership team, helping us to grow the wider business and supporting your colleagues to define and align on both strategy and execution across that entire business. In doing so, you will be a valued senior colleague, a peer coach and positive contributor to a culture of respect, support, innovation, and high performance. This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in German with local stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Set and lead the strategy for the Central Europe Agency business. Ensure business success across your portfolio by delivering maximum value to customers across our products, driving business growth across segments.
  • Deliver against business targets and drive incremental revenue to accelerate Year over Year (YoY) growth.
  • Hire, develop, retain, and inspire a passionate, customer-focused sales team who are successful at engaging with high-level client leadership teams.
  • Coach managers, providing them with the guidance necessary to position themselves and create a shared vision and a combined growth plan.
  • Develop and execute a people strategy for your teams which will ensure that each has the current and future bench of talent to execute for growth.
