Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager for the GenAI and Research Partnerships team, you'll lead partnership discussions with external partners to help enable data licensing for GenAI model training.

In this role, you will escalate and present research and business development strategies and key issues to senior Core leadership. You will work closely with Product Managers, Program Managers, Engineering, UX, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and other cross-functional and cross-product area teams on new and existing initiatives and help Google DeepMind (GDM) and Google Research (GR) product areas. You will own ecosystem engagement of a portfolio of high touch relationships with key Japan partners and publishers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead exploratory discussions with partners and facilitate and close strategic partnerships, including licensing and sponsorship.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to drive positive impact for GenAI model training.
  • Create written communications and presentations with messages effectively tailored to different audience levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop partner strategy and collaboration plans for the GenAI leadership team.
  • Understand complex customer needs amidst local and global regulatory headwinds, and provide thought leadership and execute partnerships under tight timelines.
