Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in the Java programming language.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with Android platform or application development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with with data structures or algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in designing/building or working with full-stack architectures.
- Experience software engineering for wearable devices.
- Experience with power or performance optimization.

Pixel Watch Frameworks team has supported a large number of watch features in the past and is bringing functionality like Smart Replies and Magic Actions to the watch form factor. We manage the unique challenges of the wearable form factor, focusing on reliability, performance, and power efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to on-watch User Context Database and private local inference projects.
- Develop integration between Watch and Phone contextual features.
- Design and build future WearOS platform features.
- Work on full-stack development on Android and Wear.
- Optimize systems for power and performance.
