Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Business Administration degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, or digital marketing analytics.
  • 3 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL.
  • Experience in utilizing advanced analytics to drive complex operational and tactical initiatives, while interacting with multiple Business Leads or Product Managers.
  • Experience in a fluid environment, and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to simplify the complex and present to an executive and stakeholder audience with varying levels of technical experience.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

Google Play provides apps, games, and digital content services that bring Android devices to life. It’s a Google approach to entertainment, syncing magically across your devices and the web. As part of the Platform and Devices team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping the product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy a game or ebook on the Android phone, then have it instantly available on the laptop. The Play Store serves users around the world, and is a critical driver of Google’s overall business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and Bootstrap a wide-range of high impact projects, developing business cases and driving decisions, support specific go-to-market projects via developing success metrics and owning reporting back on the impact of initiatives.
  • Engage and influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners, obtain buy in for potential solutions, adapt messaging and suggested recommendations, deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information.
  • Design and implement automated and standardized analysis tools, empowering business stakeholders to uncover business opportunities and make informed decisions.
  • Track and report on key operational metrics and provide insightful data-driven recommendations to leadership based on analysis, experience, and good judgment, investigate the root causes of business issues and providing solutions.
