Program Manager II, Compliance, CISO

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in compliance, information security, IT audit, or risk management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or similar.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working in regulatory compliance programs.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), ISO 27001, and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls.
  • Passion for staying current with emerging regulations and remediation techniques.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive execution and provide oversight to ensure progress aligns with the forecast and plan.
  • Drive Google Cloud's regulatory compliance by managing readiness programs for regulations like Network and Information Systems Directive 2 (NIS 2), UK Critical Third Party (UK CTP), Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), assessing product/operational compliance, addressing gaps, managing risks, and maintaining compliance qualifications.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified technical risks, ensuring timely and effective mitigation of gaps.
  • Partner with engineering, security, and operations teams to coordinate remediation activities, track progress, and ensure alignment with overall risk management objectives.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of remediation efforts and communicate progress to stakeholders.
