Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with user generated content partners or creators.
  • Experience managing complex partnerships.
  • Experience working with Product/Engineering teams, with the ability to grasp technical concepts and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Knowledge and Information Partnerships team negotiates and manages Partnerships for content (e.g., data licensing agreements), integrations (e.g., collaborations, product integrations) or distribution. These partnerships help build and differentiate Google’s products in several areas, including Search, Assistant, Geo (Maps, Local), Ads and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, you will be transforming Google Search, with a focus on elevating more human perspectives and reaching new users through an engagement with user generated content platforms.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $103,000-$152,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the relationship with user-generated content platforms, key partners for Google Search.
  • Execute agreements to enable new user experiences on Google Search (acquisition of data, signals, or other usage or display rights).
  • Work closely with Product teams to define partnership goals, develop go-to-market plans, launch and incubate products, and identify new product-enabling partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between Product teams and Google's ecosystem of partners in order to land product launches, collect feedback and influence roadmap by providing market and industry insights.
  • Engage with regional and cross-functional teams to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features internationally.
