Manager, Trust and Safety AdSpam

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • 7 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.


Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in Technology, Product Policy, Trust and Safety or related fields.
  • Experience in policy/program management, user and merchant experience, business strategy, or related fields.
  • Experience/knowledge in data analysis (SQL, Python), complex problem-solving, scaled operations, and efficient execution.
  • Knowledge of content moderation, policy enforcement, customer support or policy creation.
  • Proven ability to solve complex operational or policy problems, working closely with various cross-functional teams.

About the job

As a Trust and Safety AdSpam Manager, you'll lead a team committed to ensuring a trustworthy and secure advertising ecosystem. Your focus will be on enhancing both publisher and advertiser experiences by proactively identifying and mitigating threats. You'll need to quickly grasp nuanced product and policy issues within the ad space and identify and prioritize key challenges, developing creative, data-driven solutions. You'll possess a bias for action while maintaining a strategic, holistic perspective. You'll effectively manage relationships with senior stakeholders, navigating diverse priorities and goals, motivate and inspire your team, leveraging analytical insights to drive impactful results. By partnering closely with Trust and Safety leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll shape the overall AdSpam strategy. Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Engineering Quality analysts responsible for Ads Traffic Quality team (aka AdSpam).
  • Act as a representative for Trust and Safety with cross-functional partners, influencing their decisions and actions.
  • Identify and address problems and issues by developing effective programs and processes.
  • Collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to manage and resolve escalations that could pose legal, regulatory, or reputational risks.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable projects and deliverables for the team, and guide them towards successful execution.
