Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software engineering/architecture, with 5 years of experience as an enterprise architect, including within the enterprise (B2B) sales domain.
- 2 years of experience in Salesforce platform integration.
- Experience leading full lifecycle implementations of enterprise sales systems.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architecture, and enterprise service bus (ESB) technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

The Area Tech Lead team's mission is to establish and drive the architectural goal for Google Cloud Business Platform (GCBP) to facilitate the scaling of Google Cloud business. This requires implementing a highly scalable, platform/product-oriented approach to GCBP systems that provides the necessary commercial flexibility for the business teams.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end architecture opportunity to order and transactional integrity. You will lead the design of highly available, secure, and distributed systems that process high-volume enterprise transactions, ensuring seamless integration between upstream purchasing experiences and downstream billing and fulfillment systems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture for the enterprise sales systems landscape, ensuring alignment with broader corporate infrastructure and business objectives.
- Design scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions capable of managing enterprise-level transaction volumes, complex multi-currency pricing, and global sales processes.
- Partner with RevOps, Sales Leadership, Legal, and IT to build and maintain a multi-year technical roadmap for sales systems.
- Lead technical evaluations and build Proofs of Concepts (PoCs) for new sales technologies, integrations, and architectural patterns.
- Define the master data architecture for accounts, contacts, products, and agreements.
