Android Ecosystem Financial Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience partnering with the business and presenting to executive audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building cross-functional partnerships, thriving in dynamic environments, and driving operational excellence.
  • Experience in SQL or comparable data analytics tools for data extraction, manipulation, and presentation via dashboards.
  • Ability to leverage investigative skills to develop compelling business cases.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within a matrixed organization.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you will lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You will provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across Android Ecosystem Finance and other departments to deliver business reporting, provide insights into variance analyses, and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support business planning and decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, workforce planning, allocation analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL or other data analytics tools; Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and leverage AI to reduce manual effort; Coach and develop junior team members in analytics and presentation skills.
  • Partner with business units to understand their financial needs and provide support, while collaborating with accounting to ensure data accuracy.
