Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, or distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, or storage or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience in software design, architecture, and development of large-scale distributed systems.
- 3 years of experience with back-end infrastructure development using C++.
- Experience building and maintaining data processing pipelines or database systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience building or architecting systems that integrate with AI Agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), or autonomous workflows at scale.
- Experience driving technical alignment across multiple engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Experience in building systems for safety, abuse-fighting, or integrity in a large-scale ecosystem.
- A track record of successfully leading major system re-architectures or technical debt reduction initiatives in large-scale environments.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Ads Safety Infrastructure team, you will be a key architect of the systems that safeguard Google’s advertising ecosystem. You will lead the design and evolution of our large-scale data planes, distributed analytics warehouses, and policy management systems. This is a high-impact role where you will address complex infrastructure challenges, re-architect legacy pipelines for the AI era, and mentor the next generation of engineers in a culture of technical excellence.

- Lead the design and development of our next-generation platform for policy enforcement, ensuring high performance, scalability, and exceptional usability from the UI to the back-end services.
- Architect and evolve a high-throughput distributed data warehouse, optimizing for real-time ingestion and massive data volumes to provide critical insights for global safety analysis.
- Drive the re-architecture of large-scale indexing and search infrastructure to deliver sub-second discovery and high-precision impact analysis for global enforcement teams.
- Partner with the product team to translate strategic goals into technical roadmaps and milestones.
- Lead technical excellence through design reviews, mentorship, and modern engineering best practices.
