  • Ability to think about consumer hardware and software, how they work, and are interested in making them better.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Augmented Reality team at Google is building the future of immersive computing. We are a fast moving team with engineers, designers, and research scientists tasked to build the next generation technology to shape people’s way of living in an imaginable way. Through the development of Augmented Reality Core we enabled augmented reality experiences on hundreds of millions of devices, but we are not stopping there. We are working on exciting technologies to enable the next generation of immersive experiences, through collaborations with teams across Google and our third-party partners.

The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve gaps in current processes/tools needed to ensure a successful delivery of our releases with high quality and stability.
  • Lead OEM collaboration on top quality areas and manage key issues across the organization to closure.
  • Ensure alignment on goals, priorities, roadmap, schedules and communicate status and health to all stakeholders.
  • Identify tools (processes, techniques, automation) that lead or contribute to operational scalability for the internal team.
  • Lead triage and communicate progress with Tech Leads and Program Managers of top issues related to product quality and stability.
